79-year-old David Eric Godfrey was last seen between 6:00 and 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 16
UPDATE: David Godfrey was found dead by RCMP on March 17.
Whitehorse RCMP is asking for assistance in finding a missing man.
In a media release early Monday morning, police said they were looking for 79-year-old Whitehorse resident David Godfrey, who was last seen in Porter Creek between 6:00 and 7:00 p.m. on Sunday.
Police say that Godfrey was not wearing clothes suitable for cold weather and may not have had shoes on at the time. He is described as 5’6”, of average build with a big white beard. Usually, he walks slowly with a cane, but police to not believe he has it with him. He was last seen wearing a red jacket, black and red toque, and brown pants.
