COVID Numbers
The Yukon’s Acting Chief Medical Officer of Health Dr. Catherine Elliott is reporting six new cases of COVID-19 since Monday.
Three of the infections are in Whitehorse and three are in rural Yukon.
That puts the territory’s active case count at 23, that’s up from the 21 previously reported.
The new cases also come with a public exposure notice.
You may have been exposed to COVID-19 if you were at Watson Lake Day Care on Wednesday September 8 or Thursday September 9.
According to a press release, children and staff considered to be at risk are those in the infant, toddler, and preschool group.
Children and staff who attended any of those groups on the two dates are recommended to self-isolate until September 19 and then self-monitor through to September 23.
Children and staff in the after-school age group are not affected.
