The Ayamdigut campus has returned to the phase one level of students and employees studying and working from home and access to campus being restricted to authorized employees only. It is anticipated Ayamdigut Campus will reopen on Friday.
Yukon University was informed by Yukon COVID-19 compliance officers yesterday that two students entered campus and moved into campus housing without undergoing the 14-day mandatory self-isolation as instructed when they entered Yukon.
The two students have no symptoms. They have now entered isolation and will monitored for 14 days.
The Yukon Chief Medical Officer of Health has advised the University that risk of COVID-19 infection is low. However, to prioritize the health and safety of students and employees and out of an abundance of caution the University has decided to restrict access to Ayamdigut Campus for 48 hours while the movements and interactions of the two students are traced.

Online classes will continue. In-person labs and shop classes will be rescheduled. Campus Housing occupants are asked to restrict their movements for two days also.
It is anticipated Ayamdigut Campus will reopen on Friday.
