Tonight is going to be a big night for the werewolves in your neighborhood.
The full moon, will be the third in a string of consecutive super-moons.
This one, however, is the crown jewel of the series.
It will be the full moon closest to the Earth of any in 2020. meaning not only does it qualify as a super-moon, but it will be the biggest and brightest full moon of the year.
The super-moon will rise about half an hour before the sun goes down in Whitehorse sunset is just after 9:00pm.
However, environment Canada is forecasting cloudy skies with a chance of light snow
regardless, though you should at least be able to see the moon intermittently throughout the night.
The next time a super-moon as big as tonight's won't be until May 26, 2021.
