Yukon Service Pin for Military First Responders

First responders include paramedics, emergency medical technicians, police officer, firefighters, rescuers and other trained members of organizations connected to this type of work, either as a volunteer or as a paid employee.

The Commissioner’s Office is launching the Yukon Service Pin to recognize people who have served or are serving in the military or as a first responder. In this case, first responders include paramedics, emergency medical technicians, police officer, firefighters, rescuers and other trained members of organizations connected to this type of work, either as a volunteer or as a paid employee. Military service includes all branches of the Canadian military, including the Canadian Rangers.

The Criteria for a Yukon Service Pin include:

  • Being a Canadian citizen who has served or is serving in the military or as a first responder and was based in Yukon, or
  • Being born in Yukon and having served or is serving in the military or as a first responder inside or outside of Yukon.

The pins are being distributed at the Commissioner of Yukon’s office at 412 Main Street, Whitehorse, Yukon.Recipients will be asked to fill out a criteria form to be eligible to receive a pin.  

Please note: Only one pin per person.
