While the opposition party is calling on the Liberal Party to investigating removing DST, Minister Streicker says the Yukon Party failed to end it during their many years in power.
The Opposition Party is asking the Yukon Government to start investigating the removal of Daylight Saving Time.
Kluane MLA Wade Istchenko says the Liberal Party amended an original motion passed in the Legislature that got rid of any commitment or timeline to eliminate DST.
In a statement, Istchenko says "I am disappointed but not surprised, that the Liberals have not followed up on their commitment to investigate this".
In the Yukon Legislature last Friday, Minister Streicker said the opposition failed to change DST during their many years in power.
Istchenko however says changing the clocks is an issue many Yukoners care about and that it's time to start addressing that change now.
