Changes include decreasing absentee times and increasing fine.
Environment Yukon is looking at making two regulation changes to camping, to free up claimed, but unattended sites.
It has started another survey asking respondents if they support changing the unattended regulation from 72 hours to 24 hours, eliminating the holding of campsites.
A second question says if the fine for this should be $50 or higher. Respondents can fill an online survey until July 10.
CHON-FM obtained through Access to Information a survey conducted in May 2016, with results indicating that campers were frustrated with the ad hoc reservation system of setting up accommodation on a site mid week, to hold for the long weekend.
