After several weeks of social restrictions due to the COVID 19 pandemic, restaurants around the territory are moving to reopen their doors today for dine-in customers.
Special precautions are required to ensure customers and staff are kept safe, which must be identified in a reopening plan and approved the government.
Boston Pizza in Whitehorse is one of the restaurants that have remained open for take-out service over the past number of months and will open their doors today to dine-in customers.
Jerry Brant, Franchisee says the re-opening plan was not that difficult to develop, largely because of the support they received from their head office. Brant says the reopening is a mix of excitement and nervousness as everyone tries to figure out what our new normal is going to be.
Boston Pizza opened it's doors today at 11:00am with about 50% of its seating capacity available for dine-in customers.
