Watson Lake Man Recovering From Frostbite, After Being Left For Dead Near Ski Hill in Late Dec.

Temperatures in Watson Lake dipped to minus 47C.

A Watson Lake man is facing several charges including aggravated assault, for allegedly leaving another man for dead in frigid temperatures last week.

RCMP in that community responded to an assault report on Friday morning near the Mount Maichen ski hill.

Police found the victim, who was not properly clothed for the conditions, as the temperature that day dipped to minus 47.

The victim was treated in Whitehorse hospital for severe frostbite.

23-year-old Christopher Richard Greek is charged with assault.
