Boaters locate Lake Laberge remains, while RCMP find second set in Whitehorse.
RCMP say the human remains of two bodies were discovered at Lake Laberge and in Whitehorse over the weekend.
Late Sunday morning police say boaters had located human remains at the mouth of the Yukon River, at the south end of Lake Laberge.
Mounties would helicopter to that location hours later.
Later that day a second body was located and recovered in the Yukon River near 2nd Avenue and Quartz Road.
The wallet contents found on the deceased tentatively match the identity of the individual who reportedly went into the Yukon River on February 24th, 2017.
The name of this individual will be released by the Coroner's Service once identity has been confirmed.
Authorities say the deaths are not related and foul play is not suspected in both cases.
