Matthew Levi Hamilton, 39, is facing seven charges, including pointing a firearm and discharging a firearm with intent.
A joint police operation in Teslin, Yukon, has led to the arrest of a local man and a woman after a firearm was allegedly discharged at someone's head earlier this week.
Matthew Levi Hamilton, 39, is facing seven charges, including pointing a firearm and discharging a firearm with intent, after a search warrant was executed at a residence near the Alaska Highway on February 27 by the Teslin RCMP and the Yukon RCMP Critical Incident Program.
According to police, the investigation began on February 25 after Teslin RCMP received a report of the incident, which occurred the previous day. Fortunately, no one was injured. Hamilton was remanded into custody, with his next court appearance set for March 4. The woman arrested was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court on April 2.
Police seized four firearms and ammunition during the search. Teslin RCMP are continuing to investigate and are asking anyone with information to come forward.
