Thief mailed the toe back to Dawson City.
The mummified human toe that is the main ingredient in the famed sourtoe cocktail is now back where it belongs in Dawson City, Yukon.
R-C-M-P say the alleged thief mailed the toe back to the Downtown Hotel, where it was stolen last Saturday night.
The man also apologized for taking the appendage, which is part of a drinking ritual that involves adding the toe to a shot of alcohol and then allowing the toe to touch the drinker's lips while the shot is consumed.
Police say the toe is none-the-worse for wear, despite it's latest adventure, and charges are not expected to be laid.
