Yesterday afternoon, a devastating house fire broke out on Hanna Crescent in Whitehorse's McIntyre. All occupants had safely evacuated the premises before firefighters arrived on the scene, where they found a portion of the house engulfed in flames.

One adjacent property sustained minor siding damage from radiant heat, but no further structural damage was reported. Firefighters remained on the scene for several hours, conducting overhaul operations to extinguish lingering heat in the attic.
Kwanlin Dün First Nation reported the house fire on Hanna Crescent Tuesday afternoon via social media, and in a follow-up post, urged everyone to avoid the area to prevent interfering with the investigation into the fire.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation, but it has not been deemed suspicious.
