Thirty Million Dollar Contract Awarded to Ketza Construction for the new French High School.
Commission scolaire francophone du Yukon and the Gov of Canada have announced the awarded contract for the French First high School.
Whitehorse-based company Ketza Construction were the successful bid, with a $30 million price tag.
This major project made mention in the tender to that bids must consider Yukon First Nations’ participation and northern experience as part of the construction contract

The new school will alleviate the grades 7-12 currently enrolled at Ecole Emile-Tremblay starting the 2020,2021 school year. But according to Commission scolaire francophone du Yukon President Jean-Sébastien Blais, in addition to being a school, this Francophone community centre will be a place of exchange and sharing for the entire community.
The price tag comes in a little higher than predicted, due in part to the recent surge in material prices.
