Another Yukoner has died amidst the ongoing COVID-19 outbreak, putting the number of deaths since November 2020 at five.
The news comes from the latest press release which was issued yesterday evening.
The release also announces 10 new confirmed infections. Four are in Whitehorse and 6 are in rural communities.
That makes the active case count 130 with reported recoveries.
A closure notice has been issued for Bambinos Bilingual Montessori Daycare from Monday, June 28, to Friday, July 9 as a result of transmission within the daycare.
All day cares in the territory have been issued a letter reminding them of the need to practice infection control protocols, and to screen both staff and attendees for illness daily.
There is also a public exposure notice for the 98 Hotel in Whitehorse between Saturday, June 19, and Sunday, June 27.
Anyone experiencing symptoms should arrange to get tested.
