69 year-old Lis Densmore died in a car crash near Cowley Lake Rd. Saturday morning.
The Coroner's Service is providing more information about the vehicle fatality outside of Whitehorse Saturday morning.
Acting Chief Coroner Heather Jones says a coroner was called to attend the scene of a motor vehicle incident just off the Cowley Lake Road.
The incident involved a single vehicle which appeared to have driven over a steep embankment.
The driver had exited the vehicle on foot and appeared to have been attempting to find her way back up the embankment when she succumbed.
The deceased has been identified as 69 year-old Lis Densmore who resided in the Cowley Lake Road area.
An autopsy has been ordered and will take place later this week at Vancouver General Hospital.
