There are two new exposure notices to tell you about. Both come from flights from Vancouver to Whitehorse.
Over the weekend, Yukon’s Chief Medical Officer of Health issued two potential COVID exposure notices. The First comes from the 1:35pm Air North flight from Vancouver to Whitehorse on Saturday April 3. A person from outside of the territory tested positive several days after arriving in the Yukon. They are self isolating and recovering. Contact tracing with passengers in nearby seats is underway.
The second notice is from the 6:30pm Air Canada flight 8889 from Vancouver to Whitehorse on Sunday April 4.
New information has become available regarding a previous case. This person was infected with the variant B.1.1.7 while outside Yukon. They had originally been cleared to travel but based on new information it was determined they were infectious while on the flight. Contact tracing is taking place with passengers seated nearby.
