The Lake Laberge Lions Club has canceled the 2020 Yukon Trade Show scheduled for May 1st to 3rd at the Canada Games Centre, due to the Coronavirus (Covid-19).
After careful consideration and discussions with the Office of the Chief Medical Officer of the Yukon and The Lake Laberge Lions Club, the 2020 Yukon Trade Show scheduled for May 1st to 3rd at the Canada Games Centre has been canceled.
In a statement from the Lake Laberge Lions Club it was indicated that the safety of our community, exhibitors, attendees, contract workers and Lions Club members was paramount and everybody must do their part to help slow this virus and it was felt that the risk was too great.
With the trade show attracting over 100 exhibitors from Alaska, British Columbia, Alberta, Ontario and Quebec, plus over 5,000 attendees over three days, the decision was made that this is the right thing to do for everyone’s health and safety.
