Peter Grundmanis has won the nomination for Yukon Party in the Mayo-Tatchun riding.

The vote was held by telephone on March fourth, Lorraine Graham was the other candidate.
A total of 66 Yukon Party members in the riding cast a ballot, representing 89% of eligible voters.
Grundmanis is a former high school teacher. He taught physical education, social studies, law, and leadership at FH Collins high school in Whitehorse for 27 years. He has been active in the Yukon sports scene as a coach and administrator, and he is currently the executive director of the Yukon Schools Athletic Association.
Grundmanis says “I’m truly honoured to have the support of Yukon Party members in Mayo-Tatchun, I would like to thank Lorraine for putting her name forward for the nomination. My focus now is getting out to all corners of the riding to hear what constituents have to say.”
The nomination of Grundmanis brings the number of Yukon Party candidates to 13. There are six ridings still to vote.
