Teams from India, France, Switzerland, Australia, the United States, and Canada compete in Whitehorse this week.
The 2026 IFBA World Broomball Championships are underway in Whitehorse this week.
This year’s competition includes 27 teams from around the world, including teams from India, France, Switzerland, Australia, the United States, and Canada.
Along with other teams from across Canada, three Yukon broomball teams are competing this week; the Yukon Bulls in the Men’s/Masters division, the Yukon Rampage in the Mixed “yellow” division, and the Casino Mining Gold Diggers in the Mixed “green” division.
The competition takes place at the Canada Games Centre and Takhini Arena this week.
As a result of the high volume of visitors and competitors, parking at the CGC will be limited. The City encourages visitors to use active transportation, transit, carpool, or use overflow parking at the Mount McIntyre dog trail parking lot.
