Ross River School Reopens

Ross River School deemed safe for use, following engineer's report.

The Ross River School is safe for occupancy and is now open, following a structural engineer's report.

Shortly after the two earthquakes last Monday, all schools were inspected for damage.

The Ross River School and the Elijah Smith School were closed as a precaution. Elijah Smith reopened Tuesday.

Yet the Ross River school was given extra attention due to concerns of melting permafrost, requiring an external inspection.

The school was declared safe early Thursday.
