Yukon College has posted an update their website front page, COVID-19 response page and social media. The College is informing students not to return to campus following Reading Week next Monday.
Instructors will be contacting students through their Yukon College email for details on continuing their studies at a distance. As of Wednesday, March 18, YC campuses will be offering limited services.
Except for essential employees, most employees will be working from home or on leave. We anticipate this being for the remainder of the Winter Term which runs until April 30. Students should contact their program chair with any questions they may have.
The College is not using the word "closed" because that implies nothing is happening at Yukon College and all services are suspended. This is not the case.
Many classes and student supports will be available virtually, or at a distance, and many people will be working to provide those supports and classes. Physical access to our facilities will be restricted to essential staff.
