Experienced public servant and private sector management consultant Cynthia Lyslo will represent the Yukon Party in Riverdale South. Retired Federal Fishery Officer Chad Sjodin (show-DEAN) has secured the Yukon Party nomination in Porter Creek South.
The nomination periods in two more ridings have now closed for the Yukon Party, putting in place candidates 11 and 12 for the upcoming territorial election.
Experienced public servant and private sector management consultant Cynthia Lyslo will represent the Yukon Party in Riverdale South. The mother of three with long time ties to the riding is currently the chair of the Vanier Catholic Secondary School Council.
“I am very humbled to accept the Yukon Party nomination in the riding of Riverdale South,” Lyslo said. “I know constituents have concerns about a variety of topics, and I cannot wait to get out into the riding and hear what people have to say so that I can give them a voice.”
Retired Federal Fishery Officer Chad Sjodin (show-DEAN) has secured the Yukon Party nomination in Porter Creek South. A Yukoner for 25 years, he has worked in a variety of fish and wildlife as well as environmental officer positions with federal and provincial governments in Yukon, BC and Alberta. Sjodin has spent the last four years as an Outfitter and heavy-duty equipment operator in the territory.
“I have been watching with interest the team Yukon Party Leader Currie Dixon has been putting together,” Sjodin said. “I look forward to being part of the team as we actually listen to Yukoners about what they would like to see in the coming months and years, especially when it comes to pandemic recovery.”
“I would like to welcome Cynthia and Chad to the team as excitement continues to build toward the next election,” said Leader Currie Dixon. “Both have lengthy backgrounds in vastly different fields that I think will be an asset as Yukoners call for action for a change.”
Both candidates were uncontested during the two-week nomination periods.
