Applications for funding support from the Emergency Community Support Fund are now available, and may be submitted up to midnight, June 14.
About $81,000 will be available to Yukon organizations from the Government of Canada's $350 million Emergency Community Support Fund.
This funding is intended to support frontline community service organizations providing services to support vulnerable Canadians. Funds are to be used for immediate needs and priorities related to the impact of COVID-19.

Food security, financial wellness, health and hygiene, home care or personal support services, information and navigation, legal supports, mental health and wellness, shelter, safety, social inclusion and learning, transportation, engaging and recruiting volunteers, community outreach and engagement, and/or other.

Preparing and delivering meals and/or food hampers; Supporting individuals in accessing income supports and financial coaching; Providing home care or personal support for seniors, elders, and persons with disabilities; Mental health & wellness supports, including crisis counselling and peer support; Personal safety supports, including for those living in or escaping situations of violence; Access to safe transport for essential appointment and errands.

Caregivers, children and youth, indigenous peoples, low income or living in poverty, members of LGBTQ2S+ communities or non-binary, newcomers (all), official language minority communities, people experiencing domestic or gender-based violence, people experiencing homelessness, people living in group homes or supportive living (under the age of 55), people living with mental illness, people struggling with addiction, persons with disabilities, prison populations (detained and incarcerated people), racialized (all), seniors and Elders (not in care), seniors and Elders (living in care), students (post-secondary), workers who are vulnerable (essential workers, temporary foreign workers, workers in the informal labour market, etc.), veterans, and women and girls, and/or others.
