The Yukon Chief Electoral Officer has certified the final results of the 2025 Territorial General Election after the Official Addition was completed on Thursday, November 6, in all 21 returning offices.
Officials opened sealed ballot boxes to verify poll statements, count ballots, confirm rejected votes and iron out any discrepancies from the night‑of‑election tallies. Certificates of Official Addition were signed and will be included in Return of the Writ to Chief Electoral Officer, who will forward the list of elected members to the Commissioner.
According to a media release, minor adjustments were noted: Riverdale North added one vote each for Mark Kelly and Rose Sellars; Porter Creek Centre received nine votes for Louis Gagnon, twenty‑seven for Hilary Smith and thirty for Ted Laking; Whistle Bend South gained six votes for Dustin McKenzie‑Hubbard and twelve for Linda Benoit, while Whistle Bend North lost eight votes from Tiara Topps.
No winning candidates changed. In Vuntut Gwitchin seven‑vote margin triggered a recount, with an application filed in the Supreme Court and the recount expected by mid‑next week, the release said.
