The news comes from a short press release from the Government of Yukon.
Another Yukoner has lost their life from COVID-19.
The Yukon’s acting Chief Medical Officer of Health Dr. Catherine Elliott is reporting the territory’s tenth death from the virus.
The first death in the territory was reported almost a year ago in November of 2020.
The short news release also says, Dr. Elliot has also issued public exposure notices for Grades 8 and 9 at Watson Lake Secondary School and a daycare in Carcross. Yukon Communicable Disease Control has provided specific directions to the affected people.
There are 15 new infections in the territory, that puts the total active case count at 35, that’s up from the 27 previously reported.
