A temporary Recycling Deport is now open in Whitehorse.
This is following the closure of free public Non-refundable drop-offs at the Territory’s primary recycling processor, Raven Recycling Society.
Non-refundable materials, such as tin cans plastic containers and mixed paper and cardboard, can be dropped off at the City of Whitehorse Waste Management Facility on the Alaska Highway for a fee of $1 per bag or container 90-liter max volume per bag or container.
The Waste Management Facility is open Monday to Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., and Saturday to Sunday from 9 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
