Upon consultation with the Government of Yukon we are following their recommendation to cancel the 2020 Whitehorse Minor Softball Season due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
This season operates on a timeline with little room for flexibility leaving minimal opportunity to postpone.
The health and safety of our membership is and will continue to be at the forefront of our decision-making-process. While we are saddened by this announcement, we trust that it is the right decision.
All paid registrants and sponsors can expect a full refund.
Meanwhile, additional licences for Softball Yukon TV Radio Bingo on Friday nights on CHON FM have been approved. Additional dates for Bingo include, April 24th, as well as May 1st, 8th, and 15th. The final additional date is May 22nd and that will a giant Bingo with $120,000 dollars in prizes.
There will be no bingo this Friday, April 17th, 2020.
The Board of Directors of Softball Yukon thank everyone for their support and cooperation throughout this crisis. For further information contact Executive Director, George Arcand at 867-334-6185.
