Goodies employee attended to the victim
Whitehorse RCMP continue to investigate an early Wednesday evening shooting in Porter Creek. The shots rang out at the intersection of Wann Road and the Alaska Highway at approximately 6:30 PM. Goodies Gas and Convenience Store employee Alex Sun heard the gunfire and checked on the victim.
"Somebody got shot here. Everybody knows, because the guy got shot in the head."
Sun says the suspect fled the scene. RCMP say they are searching for a red pickup truck. The victim was taken to Whitehorse General Hospital with life threatening injuries. Anyone with information is asked to contact police.
