These rebates and funding programs prioritize supporting families, fostering healthier living environments
Yukon minister of Energy, Mines and Resources John Streicker has outlined various rebates and funding initiatives aimed at enhancing affordability for Yukon residents.
These rebates and funding programs prioritize supporting families, fostering healthier living environments, and promoting the overall well-being of Yukoners.
Minister Streicker highlighted key initiatives, including the universal child care program, which provides up to $8,400 in annual benefits to Yukon families, ensuring some families incur no child care expenses. Additionally, eligible individuals receive comprehensive dental coverage and support for heating costs.
According to Streicker, the government's “Our Clean Future” strategy promotes energy efficiency, offering rebates for home retrofits, heating upgrades, and electric vehicles. Notable rebates include up to $1,800 for window upgrades and $1,500 for EV chargers.
