Benoit was found deceased at Whitehorse Hospital August 30th.
On September 5th, 2017, an autopsy was performed in Vancouver on the body of 51-year-old Clayton Benoit, who died at Whitehorse General Hospital on August 30th, 2017.
The death of Mr. Benoit is now being investigated as a homicide. The Yukon RCMP Major Crime Unit has taken over the investigation.
Mr. Benoit was originally from Northwest Territories and had been living in Whitehorse for some time.
