The money was raised over the two nights the Tahltan Strong Benefit Concert was held.
Approximately 400-500 people turned out for the second night of the Tahltan Strong Benefit concert and almost 77,000$ was raised for evacuees.
Mayor Dan Curtis also made an attendance at the event and featured performances included the Dakhka Khwaan Dancers who kicked off the musical performances and special artist Brett Kissel who performed towards the end of the night.
Tahltan First Nation resident Corinna Yuill will also be at the Canadian Superstore today and tomorrow conducting one last food drive as well for Telegraph Creek Evacuees.
She'll be there there between 9:30 am today and 10 pm today and tomorrow, or until their truck is full and she told Chon News what evacuees need mostly.
"There's families moving back to Dease Lake so the need for food is there again (and) non-perishable food for sure. We're going to try and put a little bit of groceries in the homes for the people coming back and give them a little bit of a welcoming gift. The storage is fairly low there."
Yuill notes toiletries are another item needed for evacuees.
Afterwards, she'll be heading to Dease Lake to help give the donated food to evacuees.
