The Kwanlin Dün First Nation has sworn in its new leadership team at a ceremony at Nàkwät'à Kų̀ Potlatch House.
Sean Smith has been re-elected as Chief for a second term, alongside six Councillors: Shirley Bien, Amanda Calbery, Troy Friday, Mike Stanley, Lester Wilson, and returning councillor Charlene Charlie.
Yukon Premier Currie Dixon and Whitehorse Mayor Kirk Cameron attended the ceremony, congratulating the new leaders.
Speaking to Chon-FM, Chief Smith expressed his gratitude and commitment to advancing self-governance for the Kwanlin Dün First Nation.
The new leadership will serve a three-year term.
