The results from the Kwanlin Dün First Nation 2026 General Election are in.
In a social media post sharing the results of yesterday’s election, Kwanlin Dün First Nation announced that Chief Sean Smith was re-elected to his position.
One KDFN councillor, Charlene Charlie, will also return to her position on council. The remaining five positions will be held by Shirley Bien, Amanda Calbery, Troy Friday, Mike Stanley, and Lester Wilson.
Speaking on social media, Council of Yukon First Nations Grand Chief Math’iyea Alatini offered her congratulations, saying that she looks forward to collaborating with KDFN Chief and Council.
Kwanlin Dün First Nation’s newly elected leadership will be officially sworn in on Tuesday, March 24.
