The election for Grand Chief will take place June 25, during CYFN's General Assembly
The Council of Yukon First Nations has announced the candidates who are running for Grand Chief next month.
In a media release Friday afternoon, CYFN announced that Mathieya Alatini from Kluane First Nation, Pauline Frost-Hanberg from Vuntut Gwitchin First Nation, Edmund Schultz from Little Salmon Carmacks First Nation, Rose Sellars from Carcross/Tagish First Nation, and Steve Smith from Champagne and Aishihik First Nations will be on the ballot for Grand Chief at the General Assembly in June.
The CYFN General Assembly takes place June 24 to 26 at Brooks Brook, hosted by Teslin Tlingit Council. Eligible voters can participate in the election for Grand Chief when it takes place on June 25.
