The official opening happened on Saturday at the Yukon Inn Plaza.
The much anticipated Whitehorse Yukon Community Thrift Store opened it's doors to the public on Saturday.
The plastic-free facility can accommodate up to 60 people at one time, and the new location is located at the Yukon Inn Plaza on 4th Avenue.
As of now, the new thrift store will only be open on Saturdays from 10-5 and numerous volunteers helped the facility raise funds, write grant applications and scout for a permanent location before it opened.
Items such as accessories, appliances, DVD's, household items and video games are all accepted at the facility.
North Star Mini Storage will act as an intake for donations in Marwell and they will be accepting donations at their lobby from 10am-2pm on October 6th and 20th.
For specific inquiries regarding accepted donations, Yukoners can email love2thriftyukon@gmail.com.
