Motorists are urged to reduce speed, exercise caution, and follow signage in work zones to ensure the safety of both crews and road users.
The City of Whitehorse has commenced its summer transportation maintenance work, aiming to ensure roads remain safe and well-maintained for residents.
As crews undertake various tasks such as pothole repairs, crack sealing, and street sweeping, residents are advised to exercise caution and adhere to traffic control measures.
In a media release, the City said in collaboration with the Yukon Government, road line painting is scheduled to commence during the week of May 19. This work will be conducted early in the morning, with an expected completion time of one week, weather permitting.
Additional maintenance work, including the painting of crosswalks, arrows, and other indicators, will be carried out throughout the summer.
Motorists are urged to reduce speed, exercise caution, and follow signage in work zones to ensure the safety of both crews and road users.
