According to recent statistics, enrollment at Yukon College has increased steadily in recent years.
The college is expecting a total of 775 new and returning students for this upcoming school year — a 50% increase in enrollment since 2015.
In other statistics, there are 17% more students enrolled at the college now over this time last year.
International students also make up a big portion of enrollment numbers this year, with 130 people enrolled at the college this year being from India, Japan, China and numerous other countries.
In other numbers, 27 students are enrolled in the new Bachelor of Business Administration degree, 14 students are enrolled in the new Yukon First Nations Arts program and 35 students make up the recently created Bachelor of Arts of Indigenous Governance.
Yukon University is set to become a university next spring.
