The
Whitehorse is getting ready for some high calibre Tier one Zone league hockey this weekend.
Carl Burgess Head coach of the Bantam Yukon Rivermen, believes the team fashioned out of athletes from Haines Junction, Dawson City, Yellowknife and Whitehorse, are ready for any challenge.
Despite sustaining two injuries during their away series last week the team is eager to take on the North Central Cougars from the Fort St John, and Prince George areas.
The 13-14 year old home squad are representing the true north on Friday night at 8pm.
On Saturday 1pm and Sunday at 10:30 to round out their home opener series this weekend at Takhini Arena. It's a great chance to support local hockey.
