Minister responsible for the Yukon Liquor Corporation John Streicker says all cannabis retail employees will have to undergo cannabis retail training, which will be offered starting next month.
The Yukon Liquor Corporation will begin accepting private retail cannabis license applications tomorrow.
According to a press release, applications are available online through the Yukon Government's website, and after an application has been received the Cannabis Licensing Board will then review the package.
Minister of Yukon Liquor Corporation John Streicker says all applicants will have to complete cannabis retail training under the Cannabis Control and Regulation Act, which will be offered to retailers in March.
Streicker says any sole proprietor, partnership or corporation can apply for a cannabis license, with applicants also requiring criminal record checks to become a cannabis retailer.
There is still no word when the government-run liquor store will be shut down in the Marwell area.
