Mounties say a man approached an 11-year-old boy as he got off his school bus Tuesday afternoon.
RCMP in Whitehorse are seeking more information, witnesses and any dash camera footage regarding a suspicious incident Tuesday afternoon.
At around 4:15 PM, police recieved a report of a suspicious male that had approached an 11-year-old boy as he exited his school bus on the North Klondike Highway at Stockley Road.
The man asked the youth through an open passenger window, if he wanted a ride. The youth did not engage with the man, and ran home where he told a parent about the incident. One witness report noted the suspicious vehicle may have been following the bus prior to the incident.
The driver is described as appearing Caucasian, in his mid to late thirties, possibly with dark coloured hair.
The vehicle is described as being dark in colour with 4-doors, and may have had a roof rack. The vehicle could be a sedan, SUV, minivan or Hatchback. No licence plate was obtained.
