Dr. Greg Finnegan, CEO of Northern Policy Analytics says he wants the company to help grow innovation in northern and Indigenous communities.
Northern Policy Analytics is a community-inspired and engaged research and consulting firm based in the Yukon and Saskatchewan. Northern Policy Analytics specializes in Indigenous economic development, governance, community planning, innovation and technology design for Northern communities.
Founded by Dr. Ken Coates and Dr. Greg Finnegan in response to rapidly changing conditions and opportunities in the Canadian North, Northern Policy Analytics recognizes that Northern and Indigenous communities often experience poorer educational outcomes, higher unemployment rates, receive fewer public goods and services, and lack the economic stability needed to optimize community well-being and quality of life.
Yet these communities are often located in direct proximity to some of Canada's most valuable natural resources, resulting in both opportunity and conflict.
Northern Policy Analytics is looking to work with communities, not-for-profits, companies and government agencies to resolve social and economic challenges, while also advancing technological uptake and innovation in Northern and Indigenous communities.
Northern Policy Analytics maintains strong partnerships with granting agencies and graduate programs across the country that allows us to offer a broad range of expertise in the economic development and planning for Northern and Indigenous communities.
Dr. Greg Finnegan, CEO of Northern Policy Analytics says he wants the company to help grow innovation in northern and Indigenous communities.
The Mission of Northern Policy Analytics is to work with Indigenous communities to help build social and economic capacity, so that they can meet the changing needs of their members and build resilient communities in the modern economy.
