Overwhelming majority support cannabis legislation.
A recent survey of Yukoners finds that over 80 percent support the legalization of recreational marijuana use.
The survey conducted between August and September saw close to 3200 responses.
Approximately 75 per cent of respondents agree that it is either completely or somewhat acceptable to occasionally smoke or eat cannabis for recreational purposes.
While a further 85 per cent support priorities focusing on public health, harm reduction, preventing negative impacts on youth, and displacing illegal activity.
The legalization of cannabis will come into for next July.
