Judging by the number of candidates there is a lot of interest in the upcoming Liard First Nation election.
Four people are running for chief; Don Magun, Dorothy Hayes, George Morgan and incumbent Daniel Morris.
Three people are running for Deputy Chief in Lower Post; Peter Stone Fred Lutz and incumbent Walter Carlick.
19 people are running for four council positions in Watson Lake and five people are running for two council positions in Lower Post.
Voting at the Regular Poll is June 5th, with the Advance Poll is May 29th
