The Councils say they are not to blame for the calendars going out late
Four School Council's in Whitehorse have written Education Minister Tracey McPhee, expressing frustration, feeling they are to blame for the school calendars being delayed almost one month.
The School Councils of Jack Hulland, Takhini, Elijah Smith and Porter Creek Secondary say the school calendars were developed March, weeks after when it should have started.
They also claim their consultation was not considered.
McPhee says her intentions were not to blame the school councils for the delays, laying that with the department getting the calendars out late.
She admits that the school councils do work on their own schedules, as they should because they are comprised of volunteers.
The school calendars for the next several years have been posted.
