The new cases also come with an exposure notice for Whitehorse.
Yukon’s Chief Medical Officer of Health Dr. Brendan Hanley is reporting nine new cases of COVID-19 from noon on Friday to noon yesterday.
Seven of the infections are in Whitehorse and 2 are in rural Yukon.
The territory’s active case count is now at 44, that’s down from the 47 previously reported.
Since March of 2020, the Yukon has seen 633 infections, 571 of which have been since June first of this year.
There is also a public exposure notice to report. You may have been exposed to COVID-19 if you were at Kopper King Tavern in Whitehorse on Tuesday August 3, from 4:30pm to closing.
Anyone experiencing symptoms should arrange to get tested.
