The CR Oilers from Yellowknife, is one of eleven regional finalists in this year’s Chevrolet Good Deeds Cup.
The CR Oilers have been selected to represented all three territories based on a pitch they shared on Twitter describing the team’s idea to help the NWT SPCA shelter and care for domestic animals across the North.
As a regional finalist, the team has won $2,000 for a charity of their choice. Now they need the Northwest Territories’ vote to advance them in the competition. Should they win, they will have their names engraved on the Chevrolet Good Deeds Cup trophy (as large as the Stanley Cup) and win $100,000 for a charity of their choice!
Voting is open from now until February 24, after which the top three finalists will be announced. The Northwest Territories can support the CR Oilers by watching their video entry on Chevrolet Good Deeds Cup. Each video view counts as one vote.
