Tlingit will be one of the languages showcased at the summit.
Starting next Tuesday, CHON News will be covering the Sealaska Native language "Voice of Our Ancestors", Summit in Juneau.
Throughout the week, CHON News will have coverage of showcased Indigenous languages such as Tlingit, Haida and Tsimshian, all spoken in the pacific Northwest.
Fluent Elder speakers will be there, and the summit will provide an opportunity for them to converse with each other in their native tongues.
The summit has been in the works for months, and will take place from November 13th to the 16th.
