CHON-FM Covered YNLC's Aboriginal Language Day 2019 Today
CHON-FM was out in full force for Aboriginal Language Day 2019 at the Yukon Native Language Centre today.
Local musical legend Matthew Lien recorded Elders, including Bessie Cooley, speaking about the old days.
Reporters Connor Trembley and Doug Tremblay interviewed YNLC Director Tina Jules (live), Elder Bessie Cooley, and Sean Smith, and Doug recorded Hazel Bunbury speaking as well.
A good-sized crowd thoroughly enjoyed the special day.
A big thanks goes out to Director Tina Jules and Coordinator Krista Dempster for all the effort they put in to organize the event, and for inviting CHON-FM to the event.
