First Nation and Yukon government leaders travel to Ottawa for Intergovernmental Forum this year
Yukon's annual Intergovermental Forum took place in Ottawa this year, instead of the federal ministers coming to Yukon.
The Premier and Yukon Ministers, along with federal Ministers responsible for the Canadian Northern Economic Development Agency, Crown-Indigenous Relations, and Indigenous Services met with Yukon First Nation leaders, including Council of Yukon First Nations Grand Chief Peter Johnston, and interim AFN Regional Chief Mary Jane Jim.
CYFN, the Government of Yukon, and Canada signed a trilateral Letter of Intent to build and operate of a Yukon First Nations-led Healing Centre, according to a joint release.
